We had a long and intensive weekend. Without leaving the city, we filled our days of activities, family and good friends. The result could not be better: tonight we go to bed remembering nice moments, commenting ancedotes and very grateful for the life that we have and the people around us.
One of the things we did was to go to the Palo Alto design market (Carrer dels Pellaires, 30. Poblenou, Barcelona). It is a place in which, the first weekend of every month, artists and designers meet along with food stalls, hairdressers, workshops for children and good music in a beautiful and charming location. The spirit of Palo Alto is to recover the essence of markets and appreciate the beauty of the work done on a small scale and with a lot of enthusiasm.
Here are some pictures we took during the day. I hope you like them and that you can get an idea of the atmosphere of this market. For those who are interested in going, there are several ways to get there: metro (L4, Selva de Mar), bus (n 7) or Tram. Entrance is 2 euros.
Hemos tenido un fin de semana largo y muy intenso. Sin salir de la ciudad, hemos llenado nuestros días de actividades, familia y buenos amigos. El resultado no podía ser mejor: nos vamos hoy a la cama recordando momentos, comentado anécdotas y muy felices por tener la vida que tenemos y la gente que nos rodea.
Una de las cosas que hemos hecho es asistir al mercadillo de diseño Palo Alto (Carrer dels Pellaires, 30. Poblenou, Barcelona). Se trata de un espacio en el que, el primer fin de semana de cada mes, se reúnen artistas y diseñadores acompañados de puestos de comida, peluqueros, talleres para niños y buena música, en un espacio precioso y con mucho encanto. El espíritu de Palo Alto es el de recuperar la esencia de los mercadillos y apreciar la belleza del trabajo hecho a pequeña escala y con mucho entusiasmo.
