Pea & Mint soup

(For English please scroll down)

By popular demand, well, only my mother asked me to write about it but she was very insistent, today a share with all of you a recipe that we make a lot at home which is original from the magnificient Green Kitchen Stories. It is a pea soup make with coconut milk and a touch of mint.

Liam has lunch at school and for dinner I usually prepare light meals based on vegetales since he takes meat, fish, rice or pasta at noon. At first, he refuses to take them but we have a trick that works for us which is giving fun names to meals. For example, all our green soups are called Mars soup while the orange ones are called Halloween soup. It may sound a lillte bit silly but it works for us and, you know, parents will do anything to get kids to eat their vegetables. If you are reading this in English, I leave the original link to this recipe here. I have just translated to Spanish to help those who have some difficulties with the language.

As I always say, if you try it, let me know what do you think. I will love to read your comments. Bon appetite!

A fabulous apartment in Barcelona

(For English please schroll down)

When I grow up (ehem, ehem...) I want to have a house with a terrace and a big kitchen where I can cook nice and delicious meals comfortably. Meanwhile, I am happy enough delighting myself by watching photos of beautiful houses and picking ideas. There are so many stylies that, when that day comes, I won't know which one to choose!

Perhaps when that day arrives, I will be able to afford some professional help and I think that Espacio en blanco would be a good choice. It is a studio of architecture and interior design that makes such beautiful things as the renovation of this apartment in Barcelona. Here everything revolves around the kitchen. White colour predominates in combination with gold and natural wood which allows the use of touches of brighter colours as in the chairs and stools.

I love the tiled kitchen floor which is integrated into the white wooden floor of the living room. What part/piece of this apartment is your favorite? I would not mind having the kitchen lamps or the ones in the dining room or the fridge or the shower...

The Why Phase

(For English, please, scroll down)

Your curiosity is infinite but unfortunatly my pacience and imganination are not always (lets admit it). We are several months into the "why"to everything phase and I know it is a way for kids to get to know the world, but today I write to say that it can also be tiring at times as a parent, that there are days that I am not in the humour for every single thing that I say to be followed by a "why" and I end up using reverting to "because I say so" only to feel like the worst mother in the world  and giving you a complete explanation as to why I don't want you to play  with the boton of the cash machine or why you can't watch a particular cartoon. The funny part is that my explanations end up being interrupted by your lack of interest or another "why" and we end up at something that has nothing to do with what we were talking about in the first place. Uff! okay now that I've got that out of my chest I feel better. Why?

¿Alguien más se siente así?
